Who is
Court Jester
and why has he
created this site and placed it on the World Wide Web? Well, if you
are reading this - you must be asking yourself this very question. I know
you are, after all, you just read the question to yourself and now the
curiosity must be driving you crazy. Of course it is! After all, it's all
about me!
MUHAHAHA Why the web page? Just because I can! No other reason than I wanted to and I felt like I needed to learn some HTML (hypertext markup language) which is the language used to bring you this wonderful little page. For those wondering who I am? Well your in luck, break out the no-doze and make a pot of coffee - your going to need it worse than I. Where to start and what to share . . . ? I obviously have a mild interest in computers and creating web pages. I have been working with computers since the late 80’s and can remember buying my first 300 baud modem in 1991. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking or the speed of which a 300 baud modem would operate simply imagine a very fast typist then imagine text scrolling in slightly faster than that. No fancy graphics, only a simple text bulletin board system and a little bit of ANSI/ASCII artwork. Of course by the time I graduated to a 14.4 modem from a 1200 and 9600 I thought it might never get better, who could have imagined the 28.8, 33.6 let alone the 56k dial-up modems. Now that I have had both aDSL and Cable modems guaranteeing a 128k upload and 256k download with bursts of over 1.544MBps well, let’s just say 56k – never again! Aside from appearing to be a complete computer nerd (which I assure you I am not), I love to play racquetball. During a typical week I get to play three days on average with two hours of play time each. If you have never watched or played racquetball, I highly recommend giving it a try. I love the intensity, speed, quick thinking, and physical demands of the game. I enjoy movies and the experience of the movie theatre, you know the smell of popcorn, the audience etc. The movies I tend to enjoy most are dramas, comedy and science fiction. I do not care to much for horror and good suspense thrillers don’t seem to come around very often. I do not watch much television however, when I do the ones I try to watch include Family Law, Jag, The District and Enterprise. Although I must admit Enterprise is weak, I think it is improving and I have hopes that it will improve as it journeys to a second season. By day when I turn into a mindless lemming I work for a leading world wide communications company. No, no don't be silly I am not one of those goofs who call you up and asks a bazillion questions about your tastes. Our company provides voice and data applications to both small and large business as well provide long distance, local and mobile phone services to the public at large. I work as a Network Manager, sounds impressive don't you think? Yeah well it is the fate of the world rests on my shoulders each and every day! MUHAHAHA! Seriously, it is far less impressive than it sounds. Anyway - back to reality. |
